Work Overview:

In 2007, NPR partnered with Crisp Wireless to tackle a forward-thinking challenge: optimize their website for mobile and deliver audio seamlessly across all mobile devices for the first time. This groundbreaking project aimed to expand NPR’s digital reach and provide a mobile-first experience for its audience.

Execution:

As the producer and multi-disciplinary lead, I designed and launched an innovative mobile website, allowing users to access news, live audio newscasts, music, local stations, and historical content across all mobile devices. At a time when mobile web development was in its infancy, I drove end-to-end execution, combining user-centered design, cutting-edge technology, and agile problem-solving. The project not only set a new standard for mobile media consumption but also significantly increased NPR’s digital audience, strengthened engagement with its on-the-go listeners, and solidified its leadership in the emerging mobile space.
